Biography

Prof. Zou Di is an Associate Professor of Department of English and Communicatio and Faculty of Humanities at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. She gained her PhD in English from City University of Hong Kong and a TESOL certificate from Trinity College London. Her research interests include education technology, language education, computer-assisted language learning, game-based language learning, and artificial intelligence in language education. She has published a total of 195 research publications, including 128 journal papers, 3 edited books, 19 book chapters, 45 conference proceedings and 2 patents. Among the 128 journal papers, 92 are SCI/SSCI indexed, appearing in prestigious journals like Computers & Education, British Journal of Educational Technology, Computer Assisted Language Learning, Language Learning & Technology and Systems. Her Google Scholar citation count is 9038 (as of January 2025) with an h-index of 45 and an i10-index of 94. She has been listed among the World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Her papers in Computers & Education and Computer Assisted Language Learning are among the Most Cited Articles. She has received the Excellent Paper Award from the International Conference on Blended Learning. Her projects in teaching development and language enhancement have earned the Golden Medal and Special Awards from the International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada (iCAN), the Silver Medal from the International Innovation and Invention Competition(IIIC) in Taiwan, and more. She serves as an Associate Editor for Computer & Education, Australasian Journal of Education Technology from 2021 to 2022, and Computers & Education: X Reality, and is an editorial board member of Education Technology & Society and the International Journal of Mobile Learning and Organisation.
